Even though I already have a big set of goals I've been working on in 2012, I decided to add the challenge -- and make it about working on 'all the other things that never seem to get done.'
I called my challenge 'Take 30.' I set a goal to do 15 minutes per day and I named each 15 minute session a '15er.'
The reason I like the idea of 15 minute sessions, is that sometimes after a full day, it can be difficult to add one more thing. The energy just isn't there and everything seems like it would take so much work.
However, doing 15 minutes on something doesn't seem so difficult. It's only fifteen minutes. I felt I could handle that. Plus once you're started, it's easier to keep going.
It worked. I got a lot accomplished -- on top of all there is to do in a month!
In fact, although my goal only called for 30 15ers (one for each of 30 days), I managed 107. That's more than three times my original goal!
Someone asked what I was going to do for the next challenge. So, I'm thinking on that. But for now, I'm happy with my Take 30 accomplishments -- and all the other things I've been working on this year.
